Decra Roofing Cost

Hi guys
I have helped install decra roofs but never bid a job. I know its all about what my time in worth to me, but I was curious of the going rate for installs just to give me a base. I live in northern MI and have heard of guys installing decra for 700.00-800.00 a sq material included.

Re: Decra Roofing Cost

Man, 700-800 is way low. Bid at least 1000-1100... if there are valleys/sky-lights/dormers/hips i'd go to 1200+

Here is why:

Metal costs (steel and aluminum) went up 20- 30% or more, depending on manufacturer. Last year we paid over 350 for sq of gerard's steel tiles for a simple gable roof. Now it would be 450/sq + shipping + underlayment + battens + etc... you see how at 700-800 you barely make any profit? and if you don't make money, you will tend do a bad job.... so charge adequately

Good luck, Leo

Re: Decra Roofing Cost

$700-$800 isn't unusual for a Decra roof. I've seen prices about $1k square. We're fortunate that down here in Arlington, TX we can just drive to the dock and pick it up direct from Tasman. That doesn't help when I'm competing with the other guys... who can drive down and pick it up too.
