Decra Question

I'm looking at a reroof job with the Decra shingle (the lower end one for use with out the battens). The HO doesn't want to tear off the old asphalt like I want to do and have always done before. Does any one know how many layers of asphalt can be gone over without affecting the warrany. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Decra Question

Talked the customer into tearing off today. Problem solved. I talked to my decra rep this morning, he said two layers max with decra shingle.
