Deck Roof Dilemma

So I got an old trailer, 1970s, the rafters in the trailer are 2x4s. I just added a ground level deck to the outside of my house. Id like to put a roof over it. The original trailer roof is 8 high where the deck roof would start and is 16ft away from the house. Can I get away with using 2x4s on the deck roof too spanning that far with supports at the house and end of the deck. Also, with such a low sloping roof 1:12, should I use metal or torch on roofing?

Re: Deck Roof Dilemma

Why you need a roof on the trailer, just stick a few poles and put a rag over it and you got your cover.
