Check Out This High End Round Roof

I've attached a picture of a 5000 sqft home I'm thinking of building. Have any of you done rounded roofs before? If so, could you give me a rough estimate of how much this roof is going to cost? Someone fairly inexperienced told me they thought that this rounded roof would add a $40-50k premium compared to just a 6/12 pitched roof or flat roof.
The footprint of the home is 43x55

So here's another question. How would these roofs compare for a home this size:
1) 6/12 pitch roof
2) flat roof
3) rounded roof

Also, I'm assuming I need to do this roof in metal, but are there any other options for a rounded roof?

I would imagine any flat roofing product might be a candidate, asthetics aside.
But metal is probably the most attractive option, appearance wise

I would figure more then the figure already stated. At least up near the Chicago area. Texas has a lot of Mexicans doing metal roofs piece work .
Rounded work requires ice and water entire roof due to the very top is flat. Also a crane will be needed to lift the panels and hold them in place.

Color? I'm not sure. The green in the picture looks nice. I'm not sure though. How does white metal roofing look?

RED CEDAR,

My buddy was he superintendant on the roof when his company did the Walter Payton sports facility. The mfg required them to come in with a 1/2" per foot tapered insulation to give some pitch at the very top to provide some pitch, but they still needed full coverage IWS. A million sq. ft. of it. WOW!

Agreed. Metal will probably look the nicest. However if cost is a concern, you can use some kind of colored granulated modified bitumen and nice edge metal flashings, or perhaps some liquid applied urethanes which can be custom tinted, and again nice edge metals.
