Can A CBC Pull A Shingle Roofing Permit?

I heard through a few contacts that a Building Contractor can pull a roofing permit for a shingle roof. Is this true? Where can I find an official statement?

What I was informed of by an official is that in florida you have to be a ccc in order to do any roofing. It used to be if you were a gc on a new project you built you could put shingles and only shingles on it, no other styles of roofing. He informed me that, that is no longer valid. You must have a ccc to do any style of roofing. Do what I did get both licenses then you dont have to worry either way. Hope this helps.

I have a CBC and CCC license in florida. On our new construction residential projects I can put the shingle roofs on with no CCC license. On all re-roofs you have to have a CCC. A year or two ago Florida had made it where all CGC, CBC, and CRC could pull re-roof permits because of all the hurricanes we had. But I believe that expired sept of last year.
