Got a big problem with a Bostich Roof Nailer Its called the Bostich Ridge Runner. Can't find model numbers. Anyway the trigger valve went right in the middle of a new roof I was installing on a garage. Don't know where to go to take it for a repair..Anybody out here can help me? Sure appreciate it.

Don't know about your area, buy in my area, the professional lumber yards all repair nailers. Sometimes, while you wait.

Thanks for that really fast response. I live in NJ and in my area the lumber yards no longer exist, with the exception of Lowes and Home Depot we have one tiny yard that does not repair anything.

Re: Bostich Nailer Repair Locations

Have used these guys for a couple repairs to my paslode guns. I believe they do service Bostich guns also. Quick turnaround and fair prices. Just a couple minutes over the bridge in NJ. Give them a call or mapquest for directions as I am directionally challenged

If you ever get another roofing gun. Do yourself a big favor and by an Hitachi . Bostich is well known as a crap roofing gun.

opinion, what exactly makes it a better gun?

use what you got.the ridge runner is an excellant gun.I've had a few.the trigger is really easy to replace and it's about $20-25.the few places around here where I'm at like to charge way too much for gun repair.

Hey Jim, Appreciate your advice. I'm a "American Made" man myself. It's done me right for over 50 yrs. so I'll stick with what works for me and my country.

Re: Bostich Nailer Repair Locations

i'm not saying that the bostich nail guns are the best,I'm saying that each has it's place.the best guns for professionals have a good balance, full round driver, easy loading, reliable, low recoil, consistant nailing,I'm sure people will argue but a good gun is one you are happy with and does the job you want.
I am a 3rd generation roofer and have used just about every nail and staple gun out there.just about any brand name is a good gun,but there are a few that are great.kinda like the truck battle...ford is better...senco is better.on and on.

Re: Bostich Nailer Repair Locations

Appreciate your position on the guns. I myself am not a roofer by trade but a union electrician, retired 11 yrs. started out in the US Navy on board a carrier as electricians mate. After Korea went home to coal country and got in the local where my Dad was. Always felt that we here in the US made the best of the best. Now that we are a "Global" economyI suppose I should re-configure, but old habits die hard. Taught my son and daughters the same, Son is union electrician also, kid drives a beemer...... so much for that! All daughters and hubbys drive American. So it's basically personal choice. Thanks for the thoughts.

Re: Bostich Nailer Repair Locations

not saying you were, lol.read the gun vs. hand nail threads.some of the guys crack you up.didn't mean to sound like an ass.I laugh alot may not sound like it but I do.I grew up swinging a ajc speed hatchet, wore it out.then another, tried a estwing, got some hilti's and no more swinging.
I like the ridge runners, for what they are;good ,affordable, reliable, parts are everywhere.
I've tried a few of the new magnisium guns.the bostich, dewalt, ridged all seem to be nice guns.I like using the max super roofer.takes more pressure than most but it's nice.
