Barrell Tile Priceing...I NEED HELP!!!

I have NEVER done tile roofing before. I am putting a bid in on a 50 house project they are all getting tile. I know my priceing for the materials. I know my pricing for overhead and profit, I just don't know what to pay my guys. How much harder is it than shingling? They $38 for a one layer off and then back on for shingles. Does $50 sound about right for tile???

$50?!?!?! My tile guys would walk off the job for $50.

You've never done tile but you are bidding $50 houses? If you make one mistake on your bid you will put yourself out of business.

we have done both mission"barrell" tile and spanish"s-tile" the best clay tile is Ludowici-Celadon. with labor and material its about twenty dollars a square foot installed. more if there is a lot of flashing work.
with mission tile who have to batten the whole roof.
If you dont know what your doing you better find somone that does.

Re: Barrell Tile Priceing...I NEED HELP!!!

the company i work for pays our crews around 225 a square for on and off. but its broken down by tear off underlayment and then laying the tile. this may sound like a lot but i am roofing in south florida where the cost we charge is around 850 to 950 a square. if you have never done tile before i might would think about starting on a smaller project or two. tile roofing is a whole different animal then comp.
