Anybody having trouble getting shingles?

supply house said today they are almost completely out of shingles and they are on allocation. Truck supposed to come middle to end of september but not for sure. And if it does come most of the shingles are already taking. Went to 2 other building supply places and they said the same. Anyone else having problems getting shingles?

Not yet, but heard of it coming. Here it goes again though. Many crews doing too many houses and cramming them into two months with cheap labor. It's not good for anyone.

The part that confuses me is that there are hardly any new construction going on. There should be plenty of materials.

I have wondered about the lack of new roofs and shortage of shingles as well.

My lumber yard guy said Certainteed is starting to take orders from the plant again. Plenty of shingles right now...
