Advise Please?

to make along story short, my brother built a deck onto his house. and put a roof a few inches below sloped slightly to drain water so if he ever wanted to finish it underneith he could. well he had a hack of a crew build this contraption and i already had to tear up decking boards add extra support. boards were sagging after 1 week seal holes in what is like sheet roofing? rolled out. put it all back together. new boards and all. sealed as many missed nail holes in roofing material as i could with tar. now the deck is a lot more sturdy but in a rain storm underneith you can see leaks not dripping
throw the plyboard wet spots 7-10 of them

what is the best way to go about stopping these leaks? tearing more deck boards would just make for more leaks. in my opinion.
apprecheate you help.

Re: Advise Please?

You mean the deck boards are nailed through the rolled roofing? Where are the holes inthe roofing coming from? If that's the case ain't nothin' gonna stop it leaking. Rich.

Re: Advise Please?

the decking boards are not are drilled into the roof directly they are drilled into
2x4s cut diagonally corner to corner. following the roof slope. my guess is that why its leaking, is because where the wood tapers down to about nothing the screws went threw the roofing. its a pretty crappy design if you ask me. i am fearfull of tearing the boards off again and just spreading tar cause when ever i put the boards back down im just going to create more leaks. any other suggestions besides tearing the whole thing down?
