What Do They Call It?
What's the name of the temporary triangular braces that form sort of a "table" for sitting a whole skid of sheathing ply on a sloped roof during construction?

I've always called it staging.
Because it's there to stage materials.

Its a back up in case the hydraulics fail on the lift while you are cutting from the stack on the forks
ooops did I say that....la la la I uh copied this all from another site...the guy's name was Bob or somethings. |

skid rack or stage table is what we call it.

Cricket, Thats what it looks like to me, when I did a lot of framing as a kid my boss would say " put the friggen2x for the plywood up NOW" That worked also!

I call them dangerous. But if I had forks on the job i might hve been more inclined to use a rack. Standing in sawdust with hoses and round extension cords on a 6/12 never appealed to me. Never did 4/12's
Oh yeah and if the wind kicks up you'd have plywood and bodies everywhere. I'd doubt the Wyoming boys get to use racks to often. Last edited by K2; 01-08-2009 at 08:22 AM. |
