Vaulted ceiling frost build up

Have run in to a log cabin built last year. It has a vaulted ceiling with tin on the out side and 3 1/2" toungue and groove on the inside. It has a ridge line vent in it and it is a 12/12 pitch. In the winter bc of something put to gether wrong frost builds up in the roof all winter. Then melts in spring leaking down the walls for weeks. Here in Thompson the winter is as cold as -58 f and the summer is up to + 90 f. What would be the best way to open up the roof? smash all the tounge and groove off the inside. or deal with tin on a 12/12 and wind? The HO just want's it fixed.

Sounds like a ventilation problem. Check for airflow at roof (baffles), adequate soffit vents, and make sure that the sheathing was actually cut at the ridge vent. I think going from the inside might be best.
