Excellent set of bags. They last me at least 5 years a set.

But my AWP's are a set that conform to my body.
I can't say enough about them.
I have AWP 3 point suspenders and a AWP canvas "bolt bag" on my rig, and couldn't be happier with them.

Hey Temp,

I have this AWP All Leather Tool Bag that I picked up in Conneticut.
I can't find another like it.
Everywhere I whip it out,
it gets great compliments.
I have it now going on 10 years.

Re: Tool Pouches

Just wanted to give an update. My 5080 Pro-Framers arrived yesterday and they fit perfect! I'm actually quite surprised just how well they do fit. I ordered size small and expected them to bit a bit big on my 5'8" 140 lb. frame - but they are comfy as can be. I also got the sheepskin belt (thanks to john5 for the recommendation) and that just adds to the comfort. Now I just have to break them in!

Now I just have one more favor to ask you guys. This is my first set of bags that actually have specific slots/spaces/whatever for specific tools. How do you guys have your Oxy's setup tool wise? That is, what do you keep in your bags and where? Pictures if you got 'em.

Re: Tool Pouches

back when I was using oxy bags, I had right handed stronghold bags which I reversed (I swing a hammer with my left hand). That put the hammer loop on the rear left. I put my pencil in the loop on the front of the bag (used to be the rear right). Utility knife went in the fabric pocket at the front, and my spirit level went in the fabric pocket in the rear. Pliers, small prybar, and crayon in the smaller pockets on the left side. on the right side, cats paw, tri-square (not always carried), and bevel square (if it was open and set to an angle) in the loops on the front. nail punches in the fabric pocket at the front. chisel in one of the smaller pockets. tape clipped to one of the really small leather pockets. speed square in the slot meant for it. chalk line in the tape holder on the rear right. 16's in the main pocket, 8's in the smaller pocket. I had a rear bag meant as a miscellaneous bag- trash, odd fasteners, tools, ect. The rear bag also had a hammer loop on it, if I should need to carry a 2nd hammer- hammer tacker, dead-blow, mallet, ect. I think that's everything.

Just ordered myself a set of these. Also ordered the drill holder, nail pouch inserts and a few other little holders. Working as electrician so should be ideal.

Re: Tool Pouches

I hate finding bags you like.. wear the piss out of em then they are no longer around when you need a new pair I have a pair of craftsman vinyl? or whatever the material is.. they have lasted me a long time. I need to try to re-sew some loops and seams.. I just don't want to try to get a new pair.

Ordered mine from quikfast. I have got a link for a U.S site but I can not post it until I have 15 or more posts.

The U.S site I found was reconnw.com

Re: Tool Pouches

Does anyone know anything about the Gatorback belts. I tend to carry a bit of weight in my belt and like the idea of the padded belt but it's hard to tell how well they're made from the pictures on the website. They're at gatorback online.

Re: Tool Pouches

I just got my Oxi's and loaded them up this weekend. Very nice and very comfortable! The padding is perfect and they don't slide around. Can't help with the Gatorbacks though, never owned a set.
