Re: Started A Custom Today
Mud scheduled for 1pm. We'll be doing some siding on another house, most of which is under the porch

Re: Started A Custom Today
Nice DOF in that first pic, Tim. I didn't look at the EXIF info on it ... did you take that one with the 1.4 prime? Look's sharp as a tack. Digging the sunset/sunrise image, too. Are you shooting RAW or jpegs?
I've shot with a 20d and 10d up until I got my 5d II. I shoot mostly in studio ... Here's a link to some of the promo shots I've done in the past year in prep. for opening up an evening and weekend studio. They're all taken with the 20d. The simpleviewer gallery is right out of LR ... http://www.jasonericphotography.com |

Data for the first picture Model: Canon EOS 40D ISO: 100 Exposure: 1/200 sec Aperture: 2.8 Focal Length: 30mm 2nd picture was 1/125 ISO200 F9.0 I shot this picture a few weeks back, just a couple of days after I got the lens. This was cropped and shot ISO 100 F2.2 I shot the picture below with the wide angle at 10mm. Nice website and very cool shots. I'm very new to this but really enjoying it. Same lens below

Re: Started A Custom TodayQuote:
Maybe you should give up the construction gig for a PJ job with National Geographic ... those really are some awesome landscapes. I need to get a super-wide angle lens. I've got a 24-70mm f/2.8 Canon L series, and a 70-200mm f/2.8 Canon L series. The 24-70 is a good landscape lens, and the 70-200 is great for portraiture. Here's the last landscape I took ... it's from a few years ago and was taken with my 20d and with the 24-70 ..... It's five separate images.

Re: Started A Custom Today
Hey Tim,
I know how you feel! I'm building a deck in Westport WA right now buckets of rain and blown around the deck all day. Tomorrow is suppose to be just as bad. Just hope we keep power out their. I noticed you said you didn't price in your roofing price yet would love to bid it for you if you don't have a roofer yet Just finished a high end roof you can check out from my other posts if ya want. Good looking build by the way, looks like a fun one I'm jealous. I'm just getting small jobs right now.

Re: Started A Custom Today
These are a few of mine that I shot in August of this year in and around Mt. Rainier.
I was there around early winter till late spring in the early 90's and all I saw was clouds and rain Digital Cameras were on the way in. Never got to see Rainier in the skyline in 4 months.

Re: Started A Custom Today
We didn't end up pouring yesterday. Our pump guy couldn't get out in time, so we held off until this morning at 8am. It rained buckets yesterday and was nice all day today unti about 2:30.

Re: Started A Custom Today
Sweet pics Tim. I have a very nice Sony dSLR, but have not gone past the stock lens. I really need to get a fast one since I take many shots of my daughters dance shows and I can't seem to get decent ones yet. Outside pics are great.
This is our hayfield last spring. Stitched together I believe it was 6 pictures.

Re: Started A Custom Today
We stripped the foundation, cleaned it up, snapped lines and rolled pipe. We'll be framing Monday or Tuesday

Re: Started A Custom Today
I too have been quietly keeping an eye on you.
It is interesting how my mind will wonder during the day and I think about all the guys here and what they are up to. All the different types of work and different weather conditions, all spread out across the land doing our thing. Then I have to get my head out of the stars and get back to work. Please keep posting

Re: Started A Custom Today
Started framing today. I think we had a decent day and we didn't get any precipitation until about 1:30-2pm. I hope to have the joists rolled by 9 tomorrow morning and get the floor sheathed and hopefully have dry enough weather to snap lines.
We might get to some wall framing tomorrow, but I want to get everything organized before we do any framing. We've got some tall walls that I want to get up first and I'm thinking about framing the back wall as a rakewall. We'll see, but I want to. It is the same house as the one below, so it'll be that 18' wall + gable. I might chicken out though. ![]() ![]() http://picasaweb.google.com/TimothyU...44793017749170 |
