you must not get snow in Ohio... i'm from canada and i've shoveled lots of snow and seen roofs collapse. When you get a 10 degree March day and three feet of snow starts to settle and melt you may as well have a swimming pool on your house.. it is heavy. My boss was a commercial interior finisher and drywaller for 15 years. He says nailing the bottom cord to the plate is bad practice cuz the drywall will crack everytime. i'm with Willie and co. on this one.. they seem to have much more logical arguments and evidence. (practical and theoretical)

Good thing your a roofer than, Cause your wrong, stick to the other side of the trusses.
