This thread may stay boring for a while, pretty basic stuff going on now.
The Stone Masonry is going to be great! The stone detail @ the side walls should be interesting, and the roof framing will begin in about a month.
All the finished materials...well, most... will be reclaimed. The stone is from a building demo-ed in Buffalo.
I have a good feeling this will be the project I'll be most proud of.
Please stay tuned! There'll be lots of pics!!
Side Note: The Stoners invented Boce Golf...they play boce while they wait to joint their stone...our crew of three is stoked to roll the balls with the fellas!

SIPs walls...I'm really impressed with the stoners' work....fun guys, we're having a good time!
The stone work is the only cool stuff going on right now. I thought the SIP panels would be more.....
The framing will start to get interesting on the second floor....exposed floor system etc....we'll see!
Yeah, that's may goofy A$$...

I am really interested in seeing your progress. I have wanted to frame a building with curved rafters for quite some time now. I will live vicariously.

Some of us just like to watch.
What do you think of that Prazi? Would it do a decent job on big posts?

I'm taking tons of pics...the crews are digging it and I'm locked into making cd's for everyone....I was hoping CT would enjoy seeing how We do things. Any comments are welcome, and I will try to get pictures of any specific details you folks are interested in seeing!
The Prazi works great....it's a little slow, and i suggest building a jig for precise cuts...it's hard to judge a pencil line free hand....it's a chainsaw so there's tear out, but it cuts straight and square....
We did our 6x6 PT window well with it and it worked fine....we grease the bar and silicone spray the chain periodically. It also, only fits certain models of circ. saws so we bought a dedicated saw for the Prazi attachment.....I'm a fan!

Absolutely! You've been around here long enough to know we're into that.

That's what I wanted to hear. I've kind of had the hots for one ever since I first heard of it, but some say it wanders pretty badly. If a jig will take care of that, I'm sold!
Bring on the pics; the more, the merrier.

The tearout can't be as bad on the solid stock as it is on that OSB, right?
I think long term a saw with an on board oil delivery would be the way to go. But hey thats not the most important thing, if you can keep it square and sharp you have yourself a nice saw weather you have to stop and spray it or not.
I love that you are so proud of your work that you want to share it here. Post away with all the pics you want. You will have to work at it pretty good to catch up to my good friend Loneframer. Give it a shot.

I'm thinking of keeping a can of silicone ready for any saw at all times, it really seems to help... and your right about solid stock, but there's burs that would make a millright cringe...I'll be sure to take pics the next time I use it The Prazi is a cool tool, but not something I'll use everyday!
And, thanks everyone for the encouragement....I'll be a picture posting MFer ....essentially it's a journal of my day-to-day life...ENJOY....requests are welcome!
I am proud of my job....especially since we're a three man crew, besides the obvious sub work...

That's me, I'd post more framing pics, but we all know what that looks like....
