Price To Frame?
What would I expect to pay a framing crew for 2300 sf with garage, I supply lumber package, 10 ft ceilings on a slab, truss set and blocking, roof sheathing, subfacia, house wrap, felt roof, no windows or doors. The area is middle Georgia.
Thanks Matt |

Re: Price To Frame?
I have searched and found such a wide range of dollar figures it did not help one bit, I looking for somebody in MY area to see what the cost would be. Framing prices in NY or CA have absolutly no barring in my area.

Re: Price To Frame?Quote:
Asking for pricing info in an online forum is worthless. Why would framers in your area give out prices when they haven't seen the project? Are all projects the same? No. Should they all be the same price? No. My advice would be to contact 3 reputable framing crews in your area, give them a set of plans for your house and let them give you a bid based on the actual project. Then you'll have a good idea of what it will cost you. Don't automatically assume the lowest bid is the best deal. Now, please go back to DIYchatroom.com - this site is for CONTRACTORS ONLY. Mac |

Re: Price To Frame?
It sounds like to me that mr mac just feels like a BIg Shot and loves to talk big. But, after I seen his reply I had to sign up.
I currently live in Middle Tenn and we see different prices here too. The main difference in the price in our area is "QUALITY and CRAFTMANSHIP". Here you can have a framing crew with average quality workmanship for about $3.50 - $4.00 per square ft.. Your walls may not be as true as you may like. But I have also seen 2 Million dollar homes in the Gallatin TN area that were built with the same framing crews. From my point of view, I want my framing to be square and plumb but I am willing to pay a little extra for it. In reality the framing can be not so perfect but then you will pay a little extra for your drywall crew to cover up the framing flaws. You Get What You Pay For Good Luck with your project. God Bless |
