Major wall frame remodel
I am looking at a job to replace a concrete block wall with a stick built wall. It is a remodel job and the wall is a walkout basement. No fill, entire wall is exposed. The concrete slab did not have proper footings poured (1970 or so construction) and the wall is shifting as the outer edge of the slab cracks from temperature extremes of 30 below. What I want to do is to knock out the basement wall, dig new footings, and then build a 2x6 wall in its place. I have never done this before and just looking for tips and advice on how it could be done properly. Joist run parallel with this wall and the span is 28 feet.
