Lindal Cedar Homes

Anyone ever done one before? I'd like to hear some opinions.

I just started framing one a couple of days ago.
(-) Their material list is very proprietary....a 2x10 @12' for a beam is labeled a #419-12

(+) All the material is prime or select grade .

I like the look of their homes. I have never built one. Aren't the walls prefabbed?

I know a few guys that worked on Lindal homes.

Re: Lindal Cedar Homes

I've seen them go up, I've also put up custom cedar log homes, It looks just like lincoln logs....

I was wondering if just prefab logs, and insertable headers, beams mortised in....

Re: Lindal Cedar Homes

100% stick framed. No pre-built nuttin' honey. All the beams, lams, posts, are individually wrapped in plastic (cool for "rainsville" washington)

Its on an island and we are graced daily to a fly by of 4 to 5 Bald Eagles
