Know Of Any Online Roof Framing Calculators

I have used the blocklayer.com website and it's great but it doesn't provide functions for valley number crunching.

I started to look for other online framing calculators and i can't find a single other one. That seems strange.

(note these are framing calculators not cost / material calculators)

Google Joe Bartok roof framing, JoeFusco.org and SBEbuilders for some great calculators.

I was surprised to find that all of 'em don't have that stuff anymore.
How about the "Full Length Roof Framer", fits in my apron pocket, covered every common, jack, hip or valley I ever came across. Mine say "$4.00 postpaid, Copyright 1917,1944 and 1969" no batteries required!

Yes. I don't get a chance to do a lot of complex roof framing so sometimes I'm out of practice.

Level 5 drywall is almost impossible to obtain from your average contractor. Hell they can't even do 3 coat finishing worth a damn so much of the time i end up doing it. (Even some of the quality drywall i have seen has almost always looked terrible 3 years later)

I do drywall that is as good if not better than 3 coat plaster. The finicky high end homeowners have to come to me. Nobody in this area (near NYC) is doing REAL high quality drywall. A few think they are but like is said look at their work 3 years later.

Re: Know Of Any Online Roof Framing Calculators

Another reason why i get to do so little roof framing became apparent to me when i was looking at some stats on what homeowners are most likely to find fault with in a completed house.

Almost 70% of complaints had to do with drywall. I guess cause it's right in their face everyday. You put a crooked shingle on a house and there is a very good chance the homeowner will never notice.
