Insulation Attic With Floor
I'm adding an addition and want to insulate my my attic with R-38, but I also would like a floor up there to store junk. Will I be forced to use 2x12's for the joists, or is there another cheaper way to go? What if I used 2x8's or 2x10's and furred out the floor to the 12" depth?
Thanks Jason |

Re: Insulation Attic With Floor
What's the span of the joists? This will dictate the size of member necessary for strength, then you can add insulation as you choose.
