Huber Zip Roof Issue - User ALERT

I was decking a house over the last couple of days (first, rain; then 15F; then 50 mph wind [no decking then] then just sun and cold).

The first two bundles of 1/2" Huber Zip Roof plywood was 48 1/8" by 96" on average.

We picked up 30 more of the same type of 1/2" sheets today from the same lumber vendor and the sheets were 47 13/16 by 96" on average.

5/16" difference!!

I only caught it when I went to butt a new sheet where we had left off with a previous one.

Check your bundles when you order them if you'd like consistency.

Mike

Never used Huber, but what really burns me is when 4x8 ANYthing is 1/2" out of square. I run into that way too often.

Not a big fan of Zip system. At the end of the day its still OSB. Take some CDX and apply the coating to that and I'll buy it
