Hilti Hit HY20 Epoxy Anchor Spacing

Hello,

I've got a set oif plans stating to attach 2-rows 1/2" ~ Hilti Hit HY20 Epoxy anchors @ 32" O.C. provie 2" edge distance at ledger. 2 questions:

1. since there are 2 rows, are the rows of anchors directly under each other, or are the rows staggered?

2. What does the 1/2" ~ mean?

Also, the plans are saying to use a Simpson LUS28 as a joist hanger with a 2x10 joist. Is this right? I thought we were suppossed to use 2x10 joist hangers with 2x10's.

Thanks.

You can use an LUS28 on 2x10 if your load values are correct, according to the Simpson website. This is the Doug Fir/Southern Yellow Pine Numbers page. I think the ~ in this case means approximate. I might be wrong.
