Go big or go home. Why take the time to rebuild something you are going to have problems with in the future? Either beef it up or use trusses. Spend the money do it right. Cause next time it caves in you might be in there. Not trying to be a smart a$$ but seriously. Allot of older homes were built out of necessity. what I mean by that is what was there would never fly these days, any where snow or not. So really you cant even consider it as a option. I think it would be a good idea to at least have a few licensed contractors come give you a bid. Don't tell them what you think. Just let them talk. I bet you will like what you here. |
