Re: Framing Guns..
you'll hear many swear here by the Hitachi NR83A. This is what I've used exclusively, but not ever the one you're talking about. Looks too fancy shmansy for me. Prolly pretty nice.
I've dropped mine from a few floors to concrete (accidentally of course ) and they still keep nailing. I'm not positive, but they should be the fastest nailer out there. I wouldn't bother with Bostich for a framing gun.

Re: Framing Guns..
Hitachi all the way. We have a Hitachi roof nailer, never had any problems. Framers, we've got De Walt, paslode, PC and Hitachi and the Hitachi outperforms all of them. Going to eventually change to all Hitachi Nailers. Thier circular saws suck though. PC or Bocsh there.

Re: Framing Guns..
I've used some knock-off hitachis that had better nail magazines. Spotnails is one that comes to mind. All parts beside magazine are interchangelable with the nr83a. Cost is about two hundred bucks.

Re: Framing Guns..
I bought the new Hitachi NR90AC3 3 months ago. Best nail gun I've owned since the old Duo-Fast (before they went blue). I have had to shoot the true 16Ds to keep the inspector happy and it blows me away that my gun fires the 3 1/2" .162ga full round. Now if we can just get the architects to get into the 21st century and stop demanding hand drive nail nomenclature in their projects. (ie .131ga 3" just for kicks)
