Framing Fire Place Opening
I am in the process of framing a house for MR homeowner
We have a fireplace in the basement coming up through the first floor for the secound fire place in the great room. He wants to set the main floor floor joists on a block ledge built from the from the basement floor, in stead of framing around the fire place opening like normal with the 2" clearance. Will this pass code? We always have a 2" clearance around the fire place opening, |
