Framing Cost/sq Ft Avg
Hey out there. I'm looking for a little advice. I've been framing for about 7 years now and I've finally gotten myself to the point where I have everything I need to run my own business, except the bidding experience.
I've actually been in business for myself since January this year. I've finally run across my first house to frame, have a print, just need to bid it. It's a fairly cut up little ranch. (about 1600 sq ft) I'm in west Michigan by the way. Other than the cut up roof and an area of the floor that's dropped 8" it's pretty normal. What I really need is some advice on my bid. I was suggested to do it for about 4.25 sq/ft. But that seems a little low. I was thinking a little more than 6sq/ft, at least. This house isn't an easy rectangle by any means, it has a lot of jogs in it. That would include housewrap, windows & exterior doors. All the framing of course. There's a lot to consider obviously, and a lot more details i could give. But i'm just looking for any sort of input you guys can give me. Thanks, Matt |
