Converting Piece Prices To Prevailing Wage
I am a Framing contractor in Ca.
One of my Builder clients needs a Prevailing Wage bid on a job coming up. I understand P.W.jobs, but what I am needing is a way to convert my Piece Pricing to Hrly.Wage. Has anyone (that usually bids there work using piece pricing) come up with a formula to convert it into Prevailing Wage Rates? Last edited by james-kruse; 11-04-2009 at 05:15 PM. Re: Converting Piece Prices To Prevailing Wage
Living Wage Calculation for California
The living wage shown is the hourly rate that an individual must earn to support their family, if they are the sole provider and are working full-time (2080 hours per year). The state minimum wage is the same for all individuals, regardless of how many dependents they may have. The poverty rate is typically quoted as gross annual income. We have converted it to an hourly wage for the sake of comparison. Wages that are less than the living wage are shown in red. Hourly Wages One Adult One Adult, One Child Two Adults Two Adults, One Child Two Adults, Two Children Living Wage $10.72 $19.67 $15.65 $24.62 $31.45 Poverty Wage $5.04 $6.68 $6.49 $7.81 $9.83 Minimum Wage $8.00 Looking at this chart, I think I would have been embarrassed to have started this thread.
$8.00 $8.00 $8.00 $8.00

Re: Converting Piece Prices To Prevailing Wage
Ask why he needs the prevailing wage first. Is it a union job? government job? Your employees will love it considering what you usually pay them. Going from $100 a day to about $350 a day.
