Code Questions

Does anyone know if hurricane straps are required in Pennsylvania?

Also, Do all the blocking in the floor joists and load bearing walls need to be in place for the framing inspection?

Thank you,

Jason

Re: Code Questions

typically, all the blocking has to be in for inspection. If you have a cool inspector, then he will let you install missed blocking while he walks around and checks out other thing. Then he can pass the inspection without having to come all the way back up to the site for some measely blocking.

Check your local building and planning department for code book though.
