All ya all, thanks for the imput. I'll try to explain my situation. I have a wall on the roof that arches (as a segment arched wall) and this wall is also a radius wall (meaning it curves). I'm looking for a geometric solution because the radius of the segment arch is 53'. So no chance of laying it out on the floor. CM I have and can get lengths off of a single plane, but I have two planes, more actually that I'm dealing with. I too have seen some terrible things, this is one. I will figure it out, just hoped to find someone who can help make it easier. Thanks again.

Do 53" on the floor and multiply your calcs by 12 . . .

Pictures would definitely be interesting as I have never seen a segment arch with a 53 foot radius.

If it was 52', I could have helped you though...
