Any Framer From Haliburton Area?

Hi! I have to build a cottage for member of my family in Haliburton, I'm a carpenter for custom homes in Toronto, can someone help me with the price for rough framing in that area. 1000 sqf / no basement/ ready trusses.

I really don't know the answer, - - but what's the difference??

Your bills aren't in Haliburton, - - they're in Toronto.

It would simply be what you regularly charge plus your travel/stay expenses.

Will your bill collectors be charging differently according to where you worked last month??

If you really need to know, - - check a construction-estimator book or site, - - and just compare the 'locator' difference/cost factor and multiply it by what you're charging now . . .

Right on, Tom. I've always wondered why guys ask what they should charge in different locations. The going rate in say Texas might not support the cost of living in New York, and sometimes from county to county in each state.

Re: Any Framer From Haliburton Area?

HI!
Thanks for reply, but guys , I have never work in that area(Haliburton) I charge in Toronto- eg. 4000 sqf custom home 7-9 $ (rough, with basement, no boxing or ceilings...) I don't want to charge my family more than locals would do it, last summer local framer from LIndsey, Ontario charged my buider for his cottage 4.25 $(rough only) I don't know if he lied or that's reality over there. Thanks.
