Re: What About Miter Saws?
Here's some comparison specs on the 10" Bosch and Makita . . .
The maximum cutting width of the Bosch at 0 degrees is 12 1/8", at 45 degrees is 8 3/4". Depth of cut is 3 7/8' at 0. The maximum cutting width of the Makita at 0 degrees is 12", and at 45 degrees is 8 1/2". Depth of cut is 3 5/8" at 0. Bosch also wins (slightly) in the bevel range, - - and considerably in the miter range. To increase the cutting width (or what I call 'length of stride') of either, - - refer to this post from a while back . . . www.contractortalk.com/showthread.php?t=7745 Last edited by Tom R; 08-10-2006 at 07:26 PM. |
