Unique Railing Idea

All openings are drywall with corner bead, although if I do it again I will jamb the opening with MDF and tape to that. Laminated safety glass inserts and 1.5" round dowels for rail.

Very cool for a modern look, although I have seen glass used with logs even.

You can trim in old sliding glass doors, turned on edge, for glass rail on a budget. Just space posts accordingly.

Yes indeed. Looks really sweet. I've got a collection of tempered stormdoor glass just waiting to make me some money.
