Yeah i don't like painting things like that ... So,i just got back from another customers house and this heater is very small. It's one of those built into the bathroom wall. It's actually only going to be 21" high 19" across and 1 3/4" in depth ... I'm going to put a small arch on bottom and a small grill on face. I'm not sure what to charge. I was just going to charge $25hr but it's probably only going to take me about 3-4hrs. I figure i can just go to the shop after work so i don't have to lose a days pay. How can i really ask more than $75-$100 for it.

The guy is worried the heater/radiator may heat up the wood with it being so tight in there. There is no leg room when sitting on the toilet so i have to make the cover just about the same size and the heater. The wood will almost be touching the metal. do you think that will be a problem? I should have taken a pic

I know that the pipes that supply radiators are run through walls and studs with no problems. But the only thing I would be worried about would be warpage.

It could also be treated like a b-vent used in force air with one inch clearance from wood.

I've built a few covers over the years and and what i've done is replicated slim line baseboard covers an 1 1/2" opening at the very bottom and about a 2 1/2" grill .this provides air circulation ,air comes in from the bottom just like a slimline baseboard and circulates the heat, modifying it with a 1 1/2 slot in the very bottom will help a little.yours looks ok but it won't work very well. instead of a cover i would have installed a pc of cast iron baseboard, looks better and no need for a cover or a recessed cast iron radiator, good luck nice work
