5 1/5 + 5 1/5 + 3 + 3 = 17 or 71 . Take that what you like better.

Seriously, a "trim carpenter" that does not know what to charge for trim? Charge by the nail, 100 bucks per nail.

Every one knows the real LF price is what the moulding cost a LF!

Crown=$0.80 + $0.80 Install = $1.60 LF includeds material and labor

and to answer your next question YES THAT INCLUDES CAULK & PUTTY NAIL HOLES!

HOPE THIS HELPS

NO NO NO!!! Read his post, it's on steel studs. So the proper price should be 150 bucks per screw. And filling is extra, that's the painters' job.

holding up such large crown in steel i would use at least a #10 screw
and because it's steel you wil have to use stainless to stop the electro-galvanic corrosion
skip the screws, maybe use toggle bolts....
1.60 labor and material should work... it might be a tough sell though...

they probably will haggle!

ask bass to teach you to do the job in plaster/spackle so you can save the .60 on material...you know how much crown you can pull from a 5 gallon pale of spackle.FORGEDDDABOUT IT

ohh by the way make sure to use the blue lid(less shrinkage)

There is 3 ways to do this. I have friends that charge 7.50$ a foot for crown, and I have friends that charge 2$ a foot for crown. One works a lot and makes nothing; the other one barley ever works and makes nothing. I am somewhere in the middle, and I do ok. Look at the job, think about how many days it will take you, figer out what you want to make a day, cover your materials, add a little for overhead, and go to work. If you are really hungry be close to the 2$ price, if you and not so hungry be a little higher. That is the best I can do.
