narrow lock stile set ?

I have a set of French doors to put in, for myself. They have a 3 inch wide (by 1 3/4) lock stile. Most lock sets and dead bolts will not fit into this width. When I got them of course I thought it would be simple, ha.
Any ideas on where to find lock sets etc for something like this.
The doors are solid fir but that shouldn't make any difference except that a web search shows narrow stile sets for metal doors but not for wood.
I was wondering if I could be clever and some how adapt something. ?
thanks for any help.
Michael

You can try something like this. It is made for a storm door but it should work. With the rosette you should be under 3".

Sounds like a great question for the person who sold you the door.
