Look What I Did To Dad's Tool

Loneframer posted his family heirloom and I got inspired to show you mine.
I got this from my dad. It was stock when I got it.

Can you guess what it was?

More impressive would be to guess what I did with it after the surgery

It looks like it may have been a floor sander, possibly turned into some sort of blower, am I close?

Re: Look What I Did To Dad's Tool

I'm going for a portable planer with copper handles.

And yes it is, at least it's time or a Blue.

Good Luck

Looks like it once was a belt sander. Someone F**ked it up, then tried to un-f**k it, now it's just an abortion.

Wait a minute.

I just realized I named those photos with that same name.

Re: Look What I Did To Dad's Tool

I didn't check the photo names, so the term draw knife didn't come to mind, but my first thought was something along the lines of a curved bottom plane:

So I guess I was right too.

Ok, You are back to the top of the heap again, congratulations.

Tell him what he won, Bob

He wins a cold beverage of his choice at a dark and dingy bar in Santa Rosa California.

I'm not saying it's good (I'm not a fan either), just that Blue is technically a beer.
