How Much Would You Ask For Crown Molding Installation?

I am on my way for opening a interior trim company. So far on my side jobs i charged by hours but now I want to start charging by linear foot. Is there any way to find the prices for moldings installation? This is New Jersey.

How many feet per hour did you do on your side jobs? There's your answer.

$2.50 for every cubit, unless it's built up and then I charge $3.50

Re: How Much Would You Ask For Crown Molding Installation?

I usually dont like to charge by the ft. but if I have too Minimum$5.00 to $9.00 per ft plus materials depending on the size. Figure an average room is 10 x 15 = 50ft I will charge $7.00 =$350 for the day less travel expense and there is always a fee for good old uncle sam. With todays economy all rules are out the window I compete with men working for $100 a day and there happy. I cannot survive at that rate I carry full insurance

Like wolves circling a deer, like sharks tasting blood, like lions on the hunt.

I no sooner log on than the smell of a how much question brings me right to this very spot.
Go easy guys, America needs workers.

I think my dentist used a Right Angle Grinder.

Here is a picture of a kitchen I did... about 100 l.f. of moldings here, but over 45 pieces of molding to do just the hood and 19 pieces of crown on two cabs and a hood.... you want a price per foot?

If I can get a whole days work out of it, 3 bucks a foot. Any less than a full day, 300 bucks minimum.
By the way, I was gonna trash you, but I'm in a good mood.
