Finishing Basement Support Columns Pics Would Be Great

Any ideas on finishing my basement support columns? I hate to have it as a paint finishing so I was thinking maybe some tambour wrap or boxing it in?

Any Suggestions or pics of previous work?

Thanks

Here's something that might help. It's recessed oak paneling with A31 panel mould. And a painters kid...haha. Not a supporting beam, but it's wrapped around a sheet rocked supporting wall. Lemme find some others.

Here's a couple more. One is just a rough cedar box beam just mitered together, and the other is another recessed panel with i think P31 mould.

They sell pre maid ones at my local menards for around 100 bucks. I tried to google it and couldn't find it. I have used them a couple of times and they worked great. Easy to install and look good.

I made these tapered columns when a remodel had a difficult to move gas pipe in a wall that I opened up. One column is just for symmetry, the other has the gas pipe inside:

Do you plan on keeping the columns separate or incorporating them into a dividing wall? If the later you could do something like this...
