Question

Elliotis Pine Door Tricks?

Okay, these things are fairly new to me,
but now I'm getting them from legit
lumberyards as well as the Boxes.
Seems like all the "solid yellow pine"
6 panel doors are now the engineered
(read veneer) type, and made from
Brazilian Yellow Pine which is Elliotis Pine.
It machines (with a router) well enough
but gums up saw blades fast when
I undercut them.
Hand mortising with a chisel is like working
wet treated YP, and hand planing a bevel
is no fun at all!
Anyone want to share some tricks?
Teach me the secret hand shake?
