Dream Kitchen

I think I herniated a disc in my neck working over head to set the coffered ceiling in this 400 s.f. kitchen addition. When it was all said and done, it was well worth it.
We used knotty alder and plywood veneer of the same species on the faux beams and hood wrap, then stained them to match the cherry cabinets. One of my favorites, thought some of you carpenters might appreciate.

Looks great I can see where one could get a stiff neck. Lets see the rest of the kitchen now.

Very nice!

Edit: when I click on Brookside, nothing comes up. The other houses there come up when clicked...

I don't see any knots.

Everything looks real nice.

Who decided on the black outlet covers?

Me either Some call them character, I call them knots

Very nice. I can see why you would have a sore neck. Did you build the cabs also?

Re: Dream Kitchen

the black outlet covers look terrible in these photos, the homeowner wanted to paint them to match the granite so we had the electricians set something basic. I had my doubts about the HO painting them but they turned out great, you hardly notice them now.

Everything looks top notch

Why is that one window a different spacing leaving it with no trim to connect it to the others?

Re: Dream Kitchen

So I would have to bend over to get anything out of the cabinets?

Was this for midgets?

Uppers are on the other side. However, when by the sink, just don't drop the dish soap.

Re: Dream Kitchen

Beutiful kitchen. Love the look of the coffered ceiling. Not something you see very often in a kitchen.
