Could Someone Help Please!
I am pricing my first trim job in commercial. It is an Applebee's restaurant in Corbin, Kentucky. I need to know how to price a job like that what would be a good price to do everything Install doors, base board, casing, crown molding and put trim on around columns. Thank You

Unless you want to get eaten alive, this is NOT the best thing for you to bid. Commercial jobs are tricky if you've only done residential. The contracts usually involve YOU being responsible for the finishing of the material. Do you have an experienced crew and foreman? Are you ready to do the job in half the time you need ? Are you REALLY good with contracts? I'd really hate to see you get in over your head on the first one. Darin

I do have to kind of agree with commercial is balls to the wall. Speed is usually all they care about. Get 'er done! I'd say bid it a little higher than you usually do so you cover your butt. Also, some commercial people I have worked for are ruthless about paying. 90 days is usually the norm for your check, and that's after you work a month.
