Coffered Ceiling Mock-up


Got about 600 feet of this to do. actual trim most likely poplar.

Actually it's in a single family residence. It's a little over 8000sq. ft.
Worked with the GCs crew on the framing and siding also.

Every wall in the house gets 5/8 advantech glued and screwed behind the drywall. For the first time in my life I'll be trying to MISS the studs!

Partially sound because the ho doesn't want the studs to "ring".
Secondly he never wants to be stuck hanging "Picaso's" with less than adequate backing.

That'll keep ya busy for a couple of days. GC's crew gonna help? Or is this a solo flight?
ps. Is that one piece of crown or a cove attached? I like the look-- simple yet catchy.

Yeah, cove is attached, it only goes on top of the beams in the open ceiling. The restof the building gets crown tucked to the rock. The poplar crown will actually have a little more detail. This mock-up was to get a feel of scale.Yup, been working with two of there guys on this whole project. They are top shelf guys, and fun to work with.
