Cheap Cabinet Repair.

Not looking for a cheap fix. Have to punch out cheap laminate cabinets. Looking for a product to repair gouges to surface scrapes and scuffs.

I was just thrown on the cabinet punch. I obviously am not prepared for this turd polish. If they were real wood or even a skin I would mohawk burn in or some other exceptable repair.

This stuff sucks. Shrink wrap laminate faux wood. I have tried stain pens, crayon, black dry erase pen. Dry erase pen worked on the thin scratchs and stayed in the scratch after being 409'd. But my biggest problem is the scuffs.

If you do use the SeamFil be careful of the solvent that you use to clean it up. Some of the really cheap cabinets are vinyl covered and solvents such as acetone will destroy the vinyl.

Mohawk also makes rub in filler sticks that don't require heating so that may be an option.

Can you relaminate the problem areas?

Re: Cheap Cabinet Repair.

If I get the seamfil I will have also have the sf-99 solvent. The cabinet company suggested wd-40 on the scuffs. So I am going to try it on doors that are marked for replacement. I would rather not but they convinced the Sup otherwise. I have been playing with the repairs today. I have done everything I can with the supplies I was given.

These boxes are hanging and set in place nobody this late in the game is going to let me pull them to relaminate. If that was the case they would probably just replace them. We are about three weeks or so before complete turn over of the tower. Everyone nows from the architect to the owners these are cheap. They just want to start renting them out to tenents after three years of waiting.

Is there no end to the uses for WD-40?

Spray it on your chain
Spray it on your distributor
Spray it on your worm (no not that worm, like the one on the end of your hook, at least that's what I've been told)

And now it fixes cabinet scuffs...

Nope don't put wd-40 down as a vinyl cabinet scuff remover.tried it to day and worked like crap. Armor-all and a brass brush works pretty good on scuffs.
