Re: Big Chunk Of Walnut

I love it when I get a "big chunk of walnut" out of shell. Oh you mean the countertop!

A year or so ago we put a countertop like that in. Mr. HO -rubbing his hands all over it says - "I can't wait for Mrs. HO to get home - we're going to have sex right here."

I asked him to wait till the finish was on.

That's a beauty!

53" I think. Yeah, 2 slabs then glue together. The seasonal change thing is a force to be accounted for. Over sized pilot holes and washer head screws. We will see.

Gotta love the green.
Good thing I'm not prone to addiction like you.

That is the ultimate weight test for all cabinetry. Can they party down on it? Yes, then we all good.

Not only is it a tool addiction, it's a Festool addiction. That's like the tool equivalent of meth.

Just look at his signature.

It's like he knows what the score is before the game starts and still bets on the losing team.

Festool should have to offer a free 12 step program after the 25th purchase of the year. Just to keep it real.

Hey, I'm just shooting for a cnc. I could sell the drawer boxes for less to Leo, because of shipping and all.

I like big, fancy, well engineered tools just as much as you do.
I just want to have the ability to be portable as well.
Festool is like cabinet shop in a box.

Paint this green and put some stickers on it. Convince yourself that it's portability is a good thing.

We are just razzin ya. I love that you have an eye for quality in all things.

Re: Big Chunk Of Walnut

Leo, you killed my production speed.

Gus, this would replace that rotex and be even faster and better: I do have a problem, ah screw it!!

http://www.festool.co.uk/mediandoweb...69&AKTIVPROD=1

You can buy a frame for it so you can set the depth of cut. It is basically a portable drum/wide belt saner.
And it's fool proof, you cant sand a hole through something with it.

Re: Big Chunk Of Walnut

You could use an internal GPS setup like the Boeing plant to cure the inaccuracy, and it will make x-y tables obsolete...

http://cncmachining.wordpress.com/20...cnc-machining/

Just think Greg- 12 radio transmitters situated around your shop to give this thing some direction, roll in some project, no matter how out sized or hard to fit on a traditional table cnc, set the robot on it, and let it go to work. It's the future today.

Then one day, we will get portable internal GPS setups that you can take to the job site, so that you can have one of these robots do the work for you with absolute precision.
