"Normal" is a setting on a washing machine.

As for the price per lineal foot - is that 2 dollars canadian or american?? I prefer the bartering system - I do this, you do that

Re: Baseboard Trim
I live in Ontario and in a new construction production job you will be lucky to get $ 1.00 per foot. In a custom job with larger base and maybe round beads you have to get maybe $ 2.00/ft. I do alot of renovations and If I were to price a job like you describe I would assume that removal or uninstalling the trim will take almost as much time as installing. I would assume that the people are living in the house so there is going to be a clean up( remove drop cloths, vacuum put tools in truck trailer etc.)
. Make sure you lock out the saws when you go in to install each piece. Usually when I factor these jobs I take the total footage to remove and reinstall x what ever you think you need to make per ft. I will also estimate how many days the job will take to complete, and add in what ever profit and markup I need to make to stay profitable. With all that said it usually ends up some where around tree fiddy |

Re: Baseboard Trim
wouldn't it be cool if we could get all the trades in on this price scale...framing for $2/sqft, electrician for $2/sqft, plumbers for $2/sqft....gets troubling when we schedule the roofers for their cut of the $2/sqft pie-is that floor plan sqft or roof pitch sqft?
basswood, I enjoy seeing the pictures of craftsmanship you share with us at CT |

I live in an agricultural area and "Will Work for Food." I bought a big freezer and so I can get paid with "half a cow". Was asked once, "Can I pay you in chickens?" Have also been paid with a wood stove and a couch, etc. Make me an offer. Bass |
