Is Anyone Familier With Service Magic?

I, and some others in my area have been considering joining Service Magic.
Have any of you had any experience with them and are they a reputable Co?

You should do a search on the forum. I think you will find plenty of info on them here. Not too many good things though.

Nope! No one here has ever heard of that Crap-Asssed Company.

I do a fair amount of online surveys, Product Testing and Market Analysis and the funny thing is that SM has been "Advertising" with a Company JUST LIKE THEIRS that is geared to a different client base in an attempt to increase THEIR sales!

Says a lot about their Market Condition!!!!

Going with Service Magic is like asking a hacker to hijack your businesses entire marketing identity.

1) get a business phone listing, don't use a personal phone line as your business line.

2) start a web site and optomise it for search engines, add that URL to your one line phone business listing.

3) use the domain name of your business for all your business related e-mails, not yahoo, or AOL or comcast or opti online. Its more professional.

4) shirts, signs, cards, truck or vehicle graphics with a unique logo that will identify your business (cant think of the word I'm looking for) and the public will remember the graphic as belonging to you. Try not to use free clip art. No ones gonna remember a crossed hammer and saw or a silhouette of an addition frame as belonging to you specifically if ten other guys are using it.

5) I havent done this myself but I have seen guys seemingly just driving around aimlessly with their trucks all loaded with ladders, lettering, and graphics. or maybe they are lost

6) I havent done direct mailing myself but some say it works pretty good. Guess it depends on who or what you are targeting.

Yeah, when the lead companies tell you "we have 10-20-100 leads in your area and no contractors"

Ask them for 10 or 20 leads for free and if you sell a few then you will do business with them.

or tell them to use the search button on Contractor Talk and see how 100's of threads talk about how much they suck.

Good luck, with your marketing plans!
