Has anyone heard of Yodle?

They say they can get me lots of phone calls at a low cost by managing online ads like Adwords.

They say they are getting good results for other contractors.

I didn’t have a lot of time to talk to their sales person but he said he could show me results that they get for similar companies. He quoted a fee of $57 per month.

I told him to call back next week.

I am currently using AdWords but I haven’t put much time into it lately. Last month I spent about $200 on it.

When a prospect calls and says they found me on Google I don’t ask if it was a paid ad or from an organic search, so I don’t know how effective it is for me.

Yodle claims they can prove how many calls are generated by their ads.

I just looked at Yodles site, I would use it if it was free. As for AdWords, it's strategy that results in sucess, you should read up, made you can have better success at lower costs

Regarding their 20 minute presentation, if it takes more than 20 SECONDS to explain, it's not profitable! Anyone who tells you that you can't manage more than 10 adwords terms at one time is insulting your intelligence. Their $600 per months minimum is bull**** — get hip with entry level pricing or shove off. Anyone who can identify a spam email can do what Yodle says it will do at 10% of the cost. I'm glad I almost had the sales rep crying—I hope their jazzy manhattan office suite gets turned into a temp agency office!!

My advice, don't answer when they call back.
