It's no different than putting a flier or a door hanger at someones house. If it doesn't interest you, calmly crumble it up and throw it in the trash. life is to short.

I don't see anything ridiculous about this flyer. It's for tear-out, not installation. That could be done by two guys in about an hour and a half.

Do you think advertising this way is worth it, does it make you look less professional?

When people take them off windshield and through them on the ground you get at least one call....from the cops.

Very enterprising. At least they're telling you upfront about the extra charge of a dumpster.

I think it would be better to give the paper directly to the car owner rather than just putting it on the windsheild. That way, some questions of the car owner would be answered immedietely.

Does not sound like a very good idea. I am not sure Home depot would like you comming on their property and solicit their customers either.

Re: Winshield Flyers At Home Depot

I phoned the number on the flyer -- got a voice mail. Assuming the person who arranged to distribute the flyer returns my call, I will give you an update on observations here. (And if he doesn't call back from someone saying that there is a posting on a widely-read internet Forum about his Home Depot flyer, I'd be surprised!)

The number and message match with this business:

Phico Demolition & Rubbish Co
28 Cedar St, Roosevelt, NY 11575-1708, United States

Phone: (516) 377-1159

SIC:Wrecking and Demolition Work

Line of Business:Wrecking/Demolition Contractor

I never read those usually I just crumble it and throw it behind my seat on my truck and when I have enough to fill a plastic bag I put them in the trash, boy it's a mess back there right now!

Maybe we should all the number. I am curious to see how long it takes to get a return phone call too.

Re: Winshield Flyers At Home Depot

No response yet. Perhaps whoever left the fliers would rather not add fuel to the (publicity) fire here.

The company doesn't seem to have a website or internet presence of its own.
