I have used them for 6-7 years and I am very happy. I have never checked the pricing so I have no idea if they are cheap or expensive. What I do know is the owner is one of my customers. When I do letters 5,000 runs about $2300. Postcards were less. What I like about this company is they only ask for the postage upfront the printing is billed once the pieces are out. That way there are jobs lined up and cash flow is moving in the right direction. |

We've been using them for quite some time,...Give 'em an address where you're doing a job (if you're doing a "radius mailer")--They'll mail out 200 postcards (and they have MANY templates to select from) directly around the address you supply them with for $84.00....Including the postcards and the mailing. All you do is pick the template you want sent, and supply them with an address...And they have decent looking stuff as well to use. **Also, for an extra $15.00, they will give you the list of the people that received them,....with phone numbers, if you plan on doing any type of telemerketing follow up....One thing to keep in mind though, is that th is is a "scrubbed" calling list, so out of 200 names you're lucky to get 20 phone numbers. Although, you can always use www.whitepages.com (for free) and just do a reverse address search and get the phone numbers that way. ~hope it helps! |

We've used them for printing and mailing postcards as well as printing brochures and other materials. Printed turn around is amazing. I've had it take less than 24 hours between my order and when the materials show up on my door step. Postcard mailing works well. Upload your addresses or they can supply them. We've done both. Very low miniumums. You can send as few as 20 at a time. |

I second www.colonypress.com. I've used them a couple of times for jobsite mailings and the quality is good.

Has anyone used Markots? They seem great so far. Great price and so far great customer service.
I was using another company but the first couple proofs they sent me were terrible, didn't even have any contact info on them whatsoever. Then when I gave them creative freedom they sent me a card with someone elses pictures on it and none of my company colors or slogan.

although I haven't used their direct mail option, gotprint.com has AWESOME quality stuff. I just received 5000 postcards from them and they are top notch!

Keith at KBK Graphx just did ours, and they turned out great. I think we paid $175 for a one-time design set up and like another $150 to have 2,500 printed.

Re: Who Do You Use For Your Direct Mail Postcards?
Well so far I'm very happy with Markots. They are ready to go to print and should hit homes in 10-12 days. Hopefully I get a decent response.
I paid $.32 per piece, full color both 2 sides, neighborhood saturation(I know the area so this was ok), including design, printing, addressing, & delivering. The sales rep was very professional and kept in touch through the whole process through both email and telephone. They got the design right on the first try. I'll let everyone know how the response is.

Re: Who Do You Use For Your Direct Mail Postcards?
I now have some initial data from the first mailing of postcards. Postcards went out last week so there could be some stragglers out there yet.
Total cost: $1280 Total # of cards: 4000 Total number of calls: 5 Total Number of sales: 5 Total Gross sales: $6400 Now, I know that everyone says that if you're closing 100% of your sales that your prices are too high. However, I feel that the customers who call when receiving postcards are less likely to get other estimates. All I have to do is show them that they don't need to talk to other contractors, show them that I can provide the absolute best service and that they can trust me to give them value for their money. Also, I think that the response was pretty low for a couple reasons. One is that I didn't include the name of the town on the postcard. Every client who called asked where we were from and if we worked in there area, implying that our cards didn't convey that we are a local contractor. Second is because it's the first mailing we've done. The second mailing should be hitting homes late next week hopefully. I think that we should be getting even more of a response from the second mailing. I would like to get my advertising cost for this down to 10%, instead of the 20% we are at now. Hope this information helped! And if anyone needs contact information for the sales person I'm using for this, please let me know!
