What's it worth

Hypothetically

There is a remodeling company that sells siding, windows, doors, tub liners, and gutter guard.

They have over 30 offices around the nation.

They do around 200 million annually

This company is over 25 years old

This company has a website that gets them hardly any business.

This company pays around $140.00 per lead. And the leads stink, the majority are telemarketer generated, and the turn over on their sales staff is out of hand.

I've been approached by this company about taking over there internet prescence, and this includes the whole ball of wax including design and promotion.

They used to pay me about 80K a year to manage their national in home sales training. I left 2 years ago because we were losing market share, and had a piss weak shrinking internet presence. My boss didn't see the value in the internet and told me it was no more than a video game to him. He's gone now, and I've been talking to the owner himself about his internet problems.

He realizes he missed the boat, but knows I can get him back in the game in a big way.

What should I charge them to take this over and run my way.

I don't know what it would be worth, but I've looked what they have over and I could make it scream on the SERPs. Plus, I know how to keep it at the top without any black hat SEO.

I'll talk money with them in a few days..

What is it worth to the owner of a 200 mil a year remodeling company to have a full time web and SEO guy working for him?

Go search Monster.com or one of the other recruiting sites for comparable salaries of a staff internet development/manger/marketer of a comprable sized company.

That's good advice.

I'm off to follow it up, thanks Mike!
